Sounds like you have such a wonderful and sweet dog. Glad that you have such good company during the day. But also glad that leg is now high up in a tree where he can’t get to it anymore!

You know you can count on me to be a sucker for a good dog story! And I just love you so much for having the foresight to photograph the disgusting deer leg dangling from a tree. You’re a blogger at your core and you just proved it.

Ugh, no kidding. They’re disgusting! My friends have a koi pond and her husband threw one of the dead fish into the bushes, where my very lucky dog found it DAYS later. He came running out of the bushes, as excited as I’ve ever seen him, carrying the stinkiest carcass I’ve ever smelled. Needless to say, he got a bath that afternoon 🙂

Oh my. I can completely relate to this. Our sweet, well-mannered, almost-human black lab did something so completely repulsive the other day that I can’t even mention it. Can’t. So gross. I guess dogs will be dogs. 🙂

    Oh deer. 😉

If someone is really lucky they’ll be walking along and get hit in the head by the leg when it comes down.

Hard to keep dogs from being dogs. I would not have been happy if this happened to me.

Yuck! Just imagine taking a walk in the woods – preferably on a date or something romantic like that – and out of nowhere a stinking decaying leg falls onto your head. Eeek! I’m lucky that Coca doesn’t get near this thing, she probably would have loved it, too! =)

Oh..that may have been the “nastiest” photo I’ve seen on a blog! But, I’m glad Buster enjoys being a dog. I know I have similar feelings when sc cat decides to chase a bug (hey! don’t I feed you? why do you need to eat a bug…?)

Oh my goodness that picture nearly made me sick!! Yikes!

I will never forget one day my husband and I saw a stray dog eating the insides of a dead deer on the side of the road. Tht dog was clearly thrilled with his feast!!

Did your dog give you a nice wet kiss on the face after playing with the deer leg?

It really is a good thing dogs are such good companions because they really can be disgusting. My problem tends to be restricting access to the litter box.

Yep. He sounds like a perfect dog. One of mine had a taste for rabbit. She found a nest of wee ones — we now call them rabbit nuggets. Sigh…
